1. Information We Collect
1.1 Information You Provide
When you register for an account or use our Service, we may collect:

- Identity verification: government-issued ID, driver's license, or other documents required for service provider verification
- Payment information: billing address and payment method details
- Property listings: information about apartments, vehicles, or event spaces you list on the platform
- Communications: messages you send through the platform, reviews, and feedback
1.2 Information Collected Automatically
When you use our Service, we automatically collect:
- Device information: device type, operating system, unique device identifiers, and mobile network information
- Log information: access times, pages viewed, app activity, IP address, and the page you visited before navigating to our Service
- Usage data: information about how you interact with the Service, including features used and actions taken
1.3 Photos, Camera, and Media
Our Service may access your device's camera and photo library when you:
- Upload a profile photo
- Upload images for property listings (apartments, vehicles, event spaces)
- Submit identity verification documents
- Upload vehicle registration or insurance documents
Photos and images are only collected when you actively choose to upload them. We do not access your camera or photo library without your action.
1.4 Location Information
We collect and process location data from your device, including precise GPS location. This includes:
- Foreground location: When you actively use the app, we collect your precise location to display nearby services, show your position on the map, match you with ride requests, and calculate distances and fares.
- Background location (Service Providers only): When you are a service provider with an active ride in progress (from ride acceptance through trip completion), the app collects your location in the background even when the app is not in the foreground. This is necessary to:
- Provide real-time location updates to customers so they can track the driver on a live map during pickup and transit
- Calculate accurate trip distance for fare computation
- Ensure safety and accountability during active rides
- Background location is only active during ongoing rides and stops automatically when the trip ends or is cancelled. Service providers must explicitly go online and accept a ride before any background location collection occurs.
You can disable location services through your device settings at any time, but this may limit the functionality of the Service, particularly ride-hailing features.
1.5 Permissions
Our mobile applications may request the following device permissions:
- Location (foreground and background): to provide ride-hailing services, display maps, and track active rides
- Camera: to capture photos for listings and identity verification
- Storage / Photo Library: to upload images for listings and documents
- Push Notifications: to send ride updates, booking confirmations, and service alerts
- Internet: to communicate with our servers and provide the Service
- Phone: to enable in-app calling between riders and drivers during active rides
You will be prompted to grant each permission before it is used. You can revoke permissions at any time through your device settings, though this may affect the functionality of certain features.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide and operate the Service: process bookings, match riders with drivers, facilitate property rentals, and manage your account
- Location-based services: display your position on maps, calculate distances and routes, provide real-time ride tracking to customers, and compute accurate trip fares
- Safety and security: verify identities, detect and prevent fraud, resolve disputes, and enforce our terms
- Communications: send booking confirmations, ride updates, service notifications, and respond to your inquiries
- Improvements: analyze usage patterns to improve the Service, develop new features, and fix technical issues
- Legal compliance: comply with applicable laws, regulations, and legal processes
3. How We Share Your Information
We may share your information in the following circumstances:
- Between users: When you book a ride, your name, pickup and drop-off locations are shared with the driver. When a driver accepts your ride, their name, vehicle details, and real-time location are shared with you.
- Service providers: We may share data with third-party service providers who help us operate the Service (e.g., payment processors, map services, hosting providers).
- Legal requirements: We may disclose your information if required by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request.
- Safety: We may share information when we believe it is necessary to protect the safety of our users, the public, or Abisiniya.
- Business transfers: In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
4. Data Retention and Deletion
We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you the Service. Specific retention periods include:
- Account information: retained for the lifetime of your account and deleted within 30 days of account deletion, unless retention is required by law
- Location data: real-time location data from active rides is retained for fare calculation and dispute resolution for up to 90 days after the ride is completed, then automatically deleted
- Transaction records: retained for up to 5 years as required for tax and financial compliance
- Uploaded photos and documents: deleted within 30 days of account deletion or listing removal
You may request deletion of your data at any time (see Section 6).
5. Data Security
We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
6. Your Rights and Choices
You have the following rights regarding your personal information:
- Access and update: You can access and update your account information through the app settings at any time.
- Data portability: You may request a copy of your personal data by contacting us at the email address provided in Section 13.
- Location permissions: You can enable or disable location services through your device settings. Note that disabling location will prevent ride-hailing features from functioning.
- Camera and storage permissions: You can revoke camera and storage access through your device settings at any time.
- Notifications: You can manage push notification preferences through your device settings.
- Account deletion: You may request deletion of your account and all associated personal data by:
- Using the "Delete Account" feature within the app (Settings > Account > Delete Account)

- Withdraw consent: You may withdraw your consent to data collection at any time by discontinuing use of the Service and requesting account deletion.
7. Children's Privacy
The Service is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a child under 18, we will take steps to delete that information.
